Platinum Jewelry In Italy
Does anyone know if they sell platinum jewelry in Italy - in my travels there I really never noticed. If they do, what about the quality, price etc? Any particular shop that one would go to for great rings? Any comments will be appreciated. Thanks.

D.

Hi -

Speaking as a jewelry freak myself, if you really want to buy at good prices, go to Asia.

Hong Kong, Bangkok, etc.

Much better prices than Europe.

:-)

It all depends on the style you want too. I have purchased jewellery in Asia (HK, Singapore), but the designs in Italy are more to my taste, as I adore Etruscan and ancient Roman styles, and the gorgeous filigree work.

Hi again -

Just in case you didn't know, you can have them make anything you want.

Generally you can show them a picture and they can make it. Easy things take about 3 days and more difficult designs can take 2 weeks or more.

:-)

great jewelry store in the piazza san marco in venice. they carry the line of Pasquale bruni. We are talking a few K's here. the owner is there all the time, and youcan bring a catalogue for him from one of the fancy jewelry stores in the US, and he will show you how his price is better. He has all the stuff that they photograph in Town and Country magazine, W, etc...
He is located in the west side of the piazza, more or less in the middle.
