Planning a Family Heritage Trip to Italy

I am planning an extended family trip to the Italian cities of our ancestors. I have about 6 family members interested in going. Our family is from the Abruzzi Region namely, Teramo, Corropoli, Colonella, Pineto. Any ideas on how to start - tour guides, cars, etc.?

Assuming you all get along, a van and rent a villa. That´s how I would start anyway (after I looked at the location of each of those cities).

A villa is a good idea, but if you have more than one driver available I would suggest two cars so that you can split up if necessary and will also be able to fit luggage more easily. We had five people in a villa some years ago and two cars was good.

"Any ideas on how to start"
For this trip, I would start with renting the house (convenient to everywhere you plan to visit), then get airline tix. Then a guidebook(s)

"tour guides (?)"
No.

"cars (?)"
Two of them - see above

"etc. ?"
Can you be more specific??
