Planigo.com/francehotelnetwork.com

Just wondering if anyone has ever used them to book a hotel room in France. They seem to have room availability for a time no other website (venere/expedia) shows room availability...since its a conference in Cannes, most of the hotels are booked, which kind of makes me suspect the validity of this website...I hope I'm wrong ( I do need a room!)..any feedback/experiences with this website would help.

Since your post doesn't have any spaces in it, it won't wrap on the left-hand side of the page, as you can see.

Can I recommend posting again, leaving a space between "com" and "france" without the slash, and letting this post fall to the bottom?

I managed to book a hotel room for one night next April in a ski resort, which I was very pleased about - however, no confirmation arrived within the half-hour specified, so I started to panic! Nearly cancelled the payment, especially when they didn't answer their 7 day a week, 24 hours a day phone line! But tried again, and got an answer, and they've assured me they'll send me a voucher within the next half hour...........so I hope I'm not being naive in trusting them!

We have now booked a room through this company for next April..........well, we hope we have! They've emailed us a hotel voucher, and other details; the first hotel we requested wasn't available, but without asking, they found another one in the right area. So I guess we just hope that they're OK!

I would never use Planigo again. I booked a 3* hotel in Calais. They took my money 90 Euros then telephoned me to say the hotel was fully booked. They booked us into a 2* hotel telling us it was a 3*. It was totally unsuitable and we didn't stay. Planigo will not accept responsibility and have charged us 90 Euros even though the rooms were only 56 Euros. They will not refund any part of this money. I would ask anybody to be extremley aware of this company. I do Anyone who has anything similar to report please reply.

i have used the francehotelnetwork sucessfully, albeit, not recently. As i remember it - when you request a hotel, the property has 24 hours to confirm the reservation. if it is a busy period, you might want to book several properties and see what you get confirmed on - this has worked well for me on this system. You may then make your final selection and cancel the others through the system, which will provide you with confirmation of your cancellations.

Planigo is a " CON COMPANY" NEVER EVER USE THEM. My boyfriend booked a 2* hotel in France with them at a total price of 151 E. He suddenley got a confirmation through of 184E !!! They had charged him an extra 30 or so Euros without asking him!!! Then they put this down to admin costs and local festivals and the season and said according to section this and that on their website they reserve the right to slap whateber price hikes they want on under the guise of the above! Well its low season ( November) and I have been to the hotel before and its a 2* hotel but at the bumped up rate we would be paying high season rates and beyond! We should have booked a 3* Hotel directly. Of course to cancel through them is 45E. Dont go near them - dont get involved with them. Its a huge con and rip off. They charged us an unauthorised 30 E extra - but according to their terms and conditions they could slap anything onto your bill....500 E!!!! They also say on their website the hotel may be unavailable....avoid them like the plague!

I booked online with this site and they increased the room rate after i had booked it and simply charged extra without asking me if i was willing to pay for the increased room rate. this is a breach of contract under the goods and services act. I expect them giving you a different hotel is a breach of contract as well. The office of fair trading are very useful people to speak to regarding this. www.oft.gov.uk. They will be giving me a full refund but it takes them 4-8 weeks to do it for some reason which is a bit suspicious but hopefully i can get it back otherwise i'll make a claim with my credit card company.

I've used Planigo and I won't use them again. I won't say that it's a CON set-up, but they must still put their act together. They claim that they refund if you cancel. I cancelled a 4-night in London booking last December and now 9 weeks later they still have not refunded me. I've queried them today and I will advise on the outcome. But for your own tranquility of mind, I will advise travellers to book with one of the other companies.

I was THIS CLOSE to booking a 2-night minimum stay in a French hotel with them, because they seemed to have the date available that the hotel website itself did not have, nor did any other booking service I could find. Although I REALLY want to stay there, I think I'll pass on using this website, based on your experiences. Thanks for the feedback--you may have saved my trip.

I wish I saw these posts two months ago! Now they got my money and they don't seem to make refunds that easy!
Does someone know for sure the links between this company and Aeromar and QCNS Cruise and all that mess you can find in other forums like Tripadvisor.com?
