Plane delayed at JFK to CDG. Waiting sucks, ces't la vie!

Just thought I'd vent to all you lovelies who may be up, that my plane to Paris is delayed because an overhead bin wouldn't shut closed.

Waiting with all my fellow passengers and DH back in the lounge area, oh joy!

Anyway... Like they say... Ces't la vie!!

At least I've been to Paris a zillion times and will be there for the rest of the month, so no real time lost

Ah... The wait continues!

tripgirl, waiting does suck, and delays on the way there drive me crazy.

You are so fortunate to have been to Paris so many times, and to be able to stay for so long.

A delay like that makes me cry real tears, as we only get very short vacations. We too have been fortunate to travel to some places repeatedly, but not quite "a zillion" times, so missing a day hurts.

I hope you take off soon.

tripgirl,

I am sorry to hear about the delay. Which airline are you using?

Better to be sitting on the ground wanting to get into the air , than sitting in the air wanting to be on the ground. Delays happen for many reasons with all Airlines. The cost is huge.

I've done so much of the the waiting on the tarmac, for hours at a time, to even count. Much rather be back in the terminal.

Worse one was my first trip to Europe. I flew back on a charter from LHR. It was Hawaiian Airlines (!!). We stopped in Gander to refuel. We were told they wouldn't be there long, so no getting off the plane.

The FA decided it would be a good idea to get fresh air, and opened the exit door. In the process, she managed to break her arm. As there was only one flight a week, we had to wait on the plane for her to go to the hospital, get her arm set, and return. Bad for her and bad for us.

I'm here in Paris!

Delay was only 1/12 hrs as it turned out! Yay!

Carrier was American, our preferred airline who usually is great for us

Anyway, off to get Navigo Decouverte

At the Layon Paris perfect apt and there's sooooo much storage and closet space, I should have brought more stuff!!! LOL!!
