Plane Connection in Europe Question

On Thursday we will be flying to Athens from NYC. We have a layover in Rome. We are schduled to arrive at 7:30 a.m. and our next flight out to Athens is scheduled for 8:55 a.m. Will we need to go through security again when we get into Rome? If so what are the chances of us making our connection? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

You will need to clear immigration and then security. However, you won't see your bags in Rome.

1:25 is enough time.

85 mins is enough IF your flight arrives on time or a bit early. If it is even 15-20 minutes late - I wouldn't bet on making the Athens flight.

I am assuming you have MADE the reservations and that they are only chageable with a hefty fee, is that right? In other words, this IS the plan.

I think you'll have enough time..you may even have enough time if the plane is late.

Worry about other things now as the die is apparently cast.

I have some German friends and they travel to Europe and the States often, and they say that things really run smmothly, you should have plenty of time. We have a 50 minute layover and are not worried. Have a great trip!
