Places to run in Dublin
We will be staying in Dublin in July near Kildare Street. My 15 year old son needs to run in the mornings. (6-8 miles). Any suggestions for a place he can run safely nearby. Thanks for the help.

Kildare street is very close to both St. Stephen's Green and Merrion Square, which can be jogged through. However, for a beautiful run, you are about 4 km from Phoenix Park, a huge park in the city that has a zoo and lots of wonderful green space.

Phoenix Park would provide the most area for a run in city centre. There is a large athletic field on the grounds of Trinity College but running 6-8 miles in circles might not be the best option. Consider taking the DART to one of the outlying communities...there are some great areas for running both north and south of the city. Hopefully, some locals will be on the boards who can give you some even better suggestions.

Kildare Street is a nice area &, although there are no large parks to go for a run, I would suggest maybe that he could go through Merrion Square, down Mount Street and onto the canal. There's paths either side of the canal and he can run safely for several miles & then back again.
Otherwise the Phoenix Park would be another good place to run - but it can be awkward to get to.
