Places to make cheap phone calls in Naples and Sorrento as well as Internet access?

If you know where one can make cheap international calls in Naples and sorrento thatb would be great.Like a phone center or can I by an international card for a reasonable price. Also need to find a place to access my emails. Thanks again, this is a great place to get help.

If there is a Fodorite/Europhile equivalent of the Nobel Prize, it should go to anyone who figures out how to call FROM Europe to the US economically.

I have been on way too many trips where my phone bills exceed my air fare.

Just got home and rented a cell phone which charged us $1.99 a minute - - not BETTER than other alternatives, but not WORSE either (I have used AT&T Global Assist enough in the past to put several shareholders' kids through college!). And at least the cell phone was more convenient!

For internet access, see the thread just below this one on cybercafes in Rome and Florence; the URL of www.netcafeguide.com (or something like that) is listed there.

Best wishes,

Rex

Rex you have to do a little leg work, there's plenty of cheap phone cards in Europe, even in the rip off capital of the world, as far as prices go London. I was calling the states from a phone center in the Earls Court section for ten pence a minute.Fantastic. In Munich I purchased a phone card from thentourist info booth at the Hauptbahnhof for 10DM and it was good for 30-40 minutes. That's 5 $US for 30 min.

In Sorrento there is a phone centre which is in piazza tasso next to the church. This is in the centre of the town and is easy to use and you will not be ripped off. I was in sorrento last month and another guest at my hotel says there is now a cyber cafe in the main road,The Corsa but I did not use it.

Don't know the details, but I understand there is a phone card that can be purchased at Costco (here in the US) for inexpensive calls from Europe to the US. Check it out.
