Places to Eat in London

Hi all, I was wondering if people could reccommend a few nice and reasonably priced retaraunts to try in London. We are open to anything except Indian cuisine.

Thanks a mil.

You'll need to give us more to go on than that - there are hundreds of thousands of restaurants in London.

A site I use alot is a good place to start your research: www.toptable.co.uk they also have customer reviews.

Thanks for the advice :-) We are staying at the Ibis hotel which is right beside Aldgate Tube stop. We are only staying for two nights and on our first night we are going to the Apollo Victoria to a show, so anywhere near the Apollo would be nice.

Thanks for the website it looks very helpful already.

Not exactly nearby but easy to get to from Victoria.
Venosi at 87 Sloane Avenue, beautiful venue with excellent food, moderately priced and a great wine list.
Tube from Victoria to SOuth Kensington stop, walk up Pelham Rd which turns into SLoane Avenue. You could also take the 360 bus from right outside the tube station to SLaone Avenue then it is just a few yards up

Here's about 50 restaurants/pubs/takeaway that are between a fiver and a ten that I would think most would agree are good.
