places people congregate in Rome and Florence

When I was last in Rome, the places peopled congregated were: the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, and Piazza Novona. Where are the "places" now(both for locals and tourists), during the day and evening.

I am also interested in the same information for Florence.

Thosea are about right for Rome.

For Florence, Piazza della Signorina and Piazza della Repubblica. At least, that's where I spend most of my time. Also, Piazza del Duomo.

Hi Dennis. Another place you'll find a lot of people in Rome is the Via del Corso, where they'll be out strolling in the evening, especially on the weekend. The Piazza della Rotonda, in front of the Pantheon, is another place you'll find a lot of people hanging out.
