Place to stay halfway between Amalfi Coast and Siena Tuscany

Can anyone recommend a cute town/hotel to stay for one night on our drive from the Amalfi Coast up to Siena? Instead of doing the whole drive in one day, we would like to stop somewhere on the way. Also, approx. how far of a drive is it? Thanks

Dear Mary,

the drive from the Amalfi Coast to Siena takes approximately six hours, depending on the time of year and from where along the coast you will be departing.

A nice stop along the way could be the spas in Fiuggi: at http://www.travel.it/ter/fiuggi/fiuggin.htm you will find some info that might help you decide.

I hope I've been able to help!

Ciao,

Luca

I would agree with Bessie - Orvieto. Approx 4 - 4 1/2 hr drive. Orvieto is just off the Autostrada for easy access.

Do a search for Orvieto - many posters appear to like it.
