Place to leave luggage while spending day in Frankfurt
 

I have a connecting flight to Berlin but will have a 6 hour layover in Frankfurt. Can I leave my bag anywhere while I run into the city for some shopping? I was going to leave my bag in my firm's Frankfurt office but they are going to be in the process of moving to new office space so that's not an option!

It has been some time since I have been there, but I believe that there are lockers to store luggage at the airport. Or you can take the underground -- there is a terminal at the airport -- and I know there is a luggage checkroom at any train station. Hope this helps. Maybe someone else will have more current information.

Michelle, look up the Frankfurt airport at www.frankfurt-airport.de/ click over to english and then select luggage on the drop down box. They have 3 locations to hold luggage while you visit the city. Have fun !

There is a luggage storage at the airport, however you are charged for each piece left. Would it not be possible to check your luggage on to the next flight you are taking or check it through to your final destination when you check in at NYC? I know Lufthansa allows me to check my luggage after 6:00 PM the night before my morning flight.

Unfortunately, I cannot check my luggage straight through as I'm taking two different airlines. My local airline connection will not allow me to check my bag until 2 hours before departure. I checked on the Frankfurt airport regarding the price of held luggage and it's only about 3 Euro. Works for me.
