place for inexpensive vacation for 2 families

looking for a place that won't eat into our wallets for two families to rendezvous.

kids are teens and adults like both urban and nature vacations.

this trip is during the week of thanksgiving...so weather might be of importance. open to all suggestions...citywise or beach wise. we do not sit around, though. would like to be walking or playing or hiking.

thanks!

Don't know where you're flying from - but Cancún has ton's of air charters and it's very reasonable.

Dominican Republic is another good vacation value. Lot's of all inclusives. But, according to a previous post, the German's are rude there.

Jamaica? - But, be aware of crime problems.

Prague. It's a party town (for the young) but also a town that offers wonderful history, architecture - and everything a european town can offer. The atmosphere is simply superb. So's the food BTW :)

If you are looking for an inexpensive vacation at that time of year, and you want to have pretty good weather, you might want to consider parts of Greece for the warmest weather, or southern Austria (Carinthia) for good weather with not a lot of rain and temperatures in the 50's for high, 30's for low. Carinthia is great for hiking.
