I haven't been to Da Michele in New York but recently went to one in Hamburg, and never again. A massive, puffy, tasteless crust, decorated with toppings that looked like they were daubed on with a paintbrush. I ordered extra buffalo mozz on my buffalo mozz pizza (top right), but it still was a an unsatisfying mess of a pizza dwarfed by that insufferable crust that was endless chewing hell. Our outing at L'Antica Pizzeria da Michele - Hamburg:

Pizza in Napoli is a separate art. Dough and sauce - that's the most important thing in pizza. There are many places in Naples with good pizza, but if you want to eat it in the center and near the sea, it is better to go to "Pizzeria Vincenzo Capuano" - Piazza Vittoria, 8.
