Pisa to Florence By Rail
Looking to book rail journey leaving Pisa on 22nd April. Went to Trenitalia web site but showing not available. Does anyone know why, we tried quite a few days either side. Is there a strike?
Many Thanks

I agree with Dukey. There are direct trains from the Airport to Florence (the destination is given as Firenze SMN), but if no direct train, then take the half hourly train to Pisa Centrale and change trains from there about 3-4 times an hour.
As you exit the arrivals section of the Airport, the ticket office is at the far right as you stand facing the exit to the airport. The Railway station is at the opposite end of the airport, down through arrivals.

This is a regional train. No reserved seats, and you can't buy tickets more than 7 days in advance online even if you wanted to.
Buy a ticket at a kiosk before when you arrive at Pisa, validate your ticket at a yellow machine in the station, and board the next train to Florence.
If you want to see schedules and fares look at this Thu, April 8. Price is 5.70 euro.

surich,
The "NA" message you got referred to the fare, not to the train being sold out. The Trenitalia site only shows fares a few days in advance for regional trains. Regional trains cannot sell out and there are no reserved seats. People are free to stand if the seats are gone (highly unlikely except on holidays).
