Pisa, Italy

How far is the Pisa Centrale Station from Leaning Tower? How much time will it take to go by walk? How much time will it take to climb up and down the Leaning Tower?

It is between 20 and 25 minutes depending on walking speed - the bus takes about 5 minutes

willit - do you know how late the busses run. Thinking of the return trip to florence

A trip up and down the tower is a total of 30 mins. You have to use a guide, and need reservations. They only allow a certain number of people up at one time. You can get advanced reservation online at boxoffice.opapisa.it/torre/index.jsp . You print your voucher, then pick up the tickets at the tower office about 30 mins before your designated time.
It's possible to get a ticket on the spot only if there are openings.

Hi Mot,

From your questions, I get the feeling that you are very, very over scheduled.

Build some time into your itinerary to stop and smell the roses.

Enjoy your visit.

Hi there,

I did a day trip from Florence to Pisa. Firstly let me tell you that it is well worth it.
Secondly you can do this all in one day, I did. However, I didn't climb the tower but was there for at least 1.5 hours as there are many stores to go into and stalls to buy souvenirs...but of course they aren't the cheapest things as you are in the heart of tourist central.

You can walk from the train station but I would recommend taking the bus which took me about 10 minutes to get there.

Enjoy your time in Rome and take millions of photos. : )
