Piraeus to airport?

We arrive in Piraeus from Sifnos late afternoon on a Tuesday. We need to get to the airport to stay the night for an early AM flight. How is best way to get there with two mildly impaired adults in tow. Minimal luggage

Thank you

Airport Express Bus X96 will take you from Piraeus directly to the airport for €3.2 every 20-30 minutes 24/7/365. In rush hour traffic it could take about 90 minutes. Of course you can also take a taxi but it will cost a whole lot more.

Hi

Or take the metro from Piraeus to Monastiraki then change to the metro direct to the airport.

Hi tbc,
You might wish to consider http://www.greektaxi.gr/

We shall be using them on the recommendation of friends. 55E for pickup at your hotel.

What do you mean by "mildly impaired"? Physical limitations or mental, or both? Are they elderly ... the use of the words "in tow" seems to imply that they may have mobility problems but also need help navigating independently. In such a case, I would not recommend the Metro, which will have crowds pushing/shoving that time of day & you have to change trains -- no no no.

It's a trade off of time (90 minutes n bus at €13 for all 4 of you) vs. money (taxi @ €50-60). When you say "stay the night" I assume you mean at the Sofitel HOtel, not sitting up for 8 hours in Airport row-chairs. In that case, you have no budgetary constraints so go for a taxi.

Thanks all - Four senior citizens, one with replaced hips, one needing new knees! We get around Ok and even with only one pull along suitcase each, we tire easily. I think the bus sounds good.

I appreciate the help.

We Do have budgetary constraints and are looking for a budget minded option near the airport for an early AM flight. Sofitel out of the question...we might be scrunching in the airport row chairs after all.

I have suggestions but only if you can be more specific ... "a Tuesday" and "early am" it may make difference. (I am always puzzled why people are so reluctant to give an actualy date & actual time... is it a test).
