pier in Copenhagen

Does anyone know if there are things to see within walking distance of the pier in Copenhagen? We get into Copenhagen at 11 and set sail at 6 on the Emerald Princess. Not sure how to find this info., so hoping someone on this forum might know. Thanks.

Copenhagen does not have a "pier". there are several different places where various ships can dock. I would check with your cruise line for info - and for how to get from the dock area into the center of town (cab might be best choice).

Yes, you mean the wharfs or docks. Of course not far away is the famed Nyhavn, once a rough sailor's locale but now very touristy. Good eateries. Easy walking distance and not much further is the Stroget, a long pedestrian way, and you can easily walk further on to Tivoli, etc. Copenhagen is walkable indeed. Not too far up the way on the shore is the famed Little Mermaid. And you may well want to take a boat ride.

Thanks ozarksbill. That is exactly what I was hoping to hear.

You really need to find out WHICH pier your ship will depart from; there are at least two different areas from which cruise ships leave. Some even leave from within walking distance of Tivoli.
