Does anyone know how to get from Rome to Pienza? Is there a train? Bus?

This is only half an answer, but I know that there is efficient train service from Chiusi, which isn't far from Pienza. Trouble is, I don't know HOW far! But the sites recommended above can probably give you a more complete answer.

For what it's worth, there is probably bus service from Pienza to Chiusi, but buses in the region are geared to workers and not tourists, so the most frequent service is in the early morning and late afternoon. Chiusi is on the main rail line from Florence to Rome, so trains are frequent. I believe there is a website for bus service in the region, but I don't know the URL. Someone who has it will probably post it. There is no direct train service from Pienza to Rome.

The drive from Pienza to the station in Chiusi is about 45 minutes to an hour.

Virginia - The bus service from Chiusi to Pienza ýs run by LFI.

They usually run a service to connect with trains from Rome.

Hope this helps ...
