Piedmont in summer question

Were heading to Piedmont mid-July and I am suddenly having buyers remorse that we are doing it in the middle of summer. Now that Im doing a deeper dive, it seems like most people go in fall. Temps have been in the high 90s lately and the langhe valley (where we are based) is apparently known for being very hot and humid. Someone talk me off the ledgewell be fine, right??? (Side note: I love Tuscany in summer and was hoping langhe area would be similar).
thank you!!

You will certainly not get cold in the Province of Asti in summer, but Florence is usually warmer.

Hi, we are there now, near Alba, and while it's warm it is not too much. There's a breeze, with highest temperatures around 30C, but it's not humid.
Evenings are lovely. It was much warmer in Tuscany - Lucca at 37C was not so pleasant!
