Good joke, Sally.
And, to "kjhgkjh" I have a little bit of advice. Here's the way you get to be in the "in" group on fodors...It's really easy. All you have to do is at least post occasionally, show interest in travel, be able to take the occasional jolt someone sends you, AND ALWAYS ALWAYS use the same "handle." I quit using my real name and email address a year ago but I am consistently me. That way people get to know who you are from your posts over time. That qualifies you for being "in." I don't know any other way.
We can talk to each other and tell who we are and mention each other by name that way. Otherwise, you are so anonymous that you can't possibly be "in." Personally I don't think this board is cliquish but usually quite nice and helpful.
If you want to see how helpful folks here can be, take a gander at the current thread entitled Travel Vs. Grad School, or something like that. Every one of those people who replied to "torn" was generous, kind and helpful. Kinda makes you feel good about the whole thing, don't it now? U

KK makes a good point, and I think I know who KK is by the style. I think "regular" is a better term than "in." Just post a lot and use the same name. If you have differences of opinion, try to have a thick skin, say "vive la difference," and say what you think anyway. I think as long as people are civil, that works. Goodness knows, I have not hesitated to say what I think on a few controversial discussions (e.g., the Confederate flag and traveling with children), but I have never had negative e-mails or anything as a result. I hope I am not in the old fogey category yet at 38?

Dan, you're right. Using the word REGULAR is much better than the word IN, but IN is the terminology the upset poster used so I decided to go with that.
BTW, everyone, have a look at Dan's fabulous website. He has the clearest photos on the web, and I especially loved this one
