Piazza Navona

Is Bernini's Fontanta dei Quattro Fiumi in the Piazza still under scaffolding? I'm going in 3 weeks and wondering if it will be uncovered by then.

As of Saturday is was still partially covered. P. Navona was shown on the news coverage of a protest march. Don't know if it will still be covered when you arrive.

That's what I suspected.

When we were there (May 20th ish) it looked like they were no where near finishing it.

Unfortunately I think it will still be up in three weeks.

As they say in Italy the scaffolding has been on some churches, palazzi so long that the scaffolding is now considered to be part of the facade.

I was in Navona in january and it was all covered - still this is the finest square in Rome to me - even though it's a rectangle really. always something interesting going on.
