Merci Kerouac. To see the realities of Paris on the ground now, as presented by a local, has significant meaning for the rest of us.

So nice to see the attentive audience. The sound quality was pretty good, considering the venue and the masks. Thanks, kerouac.

The only version I've seen was a movie of the opera, performed on a stage with a wooden floor. You could hear every footstep. I suppose that's how Mozart's original audiences experienced it.

Thanks. My trusty little pocket Lumix is the only device that I use for photos and video.

The usual explanation for great photos without the latest greatest equipment holds true again: It's not the camera, it's the person.

Same same holds true for musicians. Once knew a drummer who owned a crappy, inexpensive set. But boy, could that sucker play! Doubtlessly, Jimi Hendrix could've made any instrument that he chanced across sing to some extent, particularly stringed ones.

I nominate that original photo showing Myer's granddaughter holding her camera while wearing a Yankees cap, for the front cover of Fodor's 'Travel Photo' edition.

I am done. The suggestion.

PS just discovered the old B&W photo that I once used as the promo shot for our school's International Pen Pal Club. It was taken in the WC of a restaurant somewhere in rural France. A framed foto on the wall there depicted a line-up of young children all lined up to place each of their letters into a mail box. The child closest to the box, who is in the process of shoving their own envelope inside the opening, is standing atop a chair. Priceless. Shot seemed to have been taken during the '20s and the mailbox would now be considered an antique.

Why do so few of the musicians have masks?

A Monty Python and the Holy Grail moment at Le château de Beynac in 2012. "I fart in your general direction. Your mother was a hamster, and your father smelt of elderberries.”

Great shot and great concept MT! Captured smiles make for precious memories. Btw, we too have targeted Italia ASAP after it becomes feasible. A certain Ravello landlord has our um, substantial deposit. Fingers crossed that they'll indeed honour our agreement.

I am done. The Euro.

A small part of Angles-sur-Anglin, one of the Plus Beaux Villages. It's a little village, on top of and down the sides of a steep hill. This shows the river and part of the castle ruins. My memory from our visit is that the English scaled these cliffs to take the castle during the Hundred Years War, but I can't find verification with a quick google today. Towns along rivers and on hillsides are usually extra photogenic, at least in France.

Your last sentence makes a good point, so true Coq.
This trying time has no doubt caused many of us to wonder whether our use-by date as travelers, will have expired by the time of The Vaccine.
Mrs Z expressed that yesterday and it was saddening to hear.

I am done. The I dunno, voyagers.

Riverside statue, as depicted by other Fodorites.

Special French eggs from special French chickens and special French roosters.

Their quai-side weekend market is a must.

Dunno, maybe they're somekinda' fish?

Skinny building reflections.
