I have to figure out how to post proper sized images here but in the meantime here's the link to my galleries of France - there's a gallery for pretty much every region

I see that some of you have been all over France. I admire the clarity of your photos since mine are not always super sharp!

I am a sucker for half-timbered houses and flowers. I love how many French towns go all out with the floral displays, all over the bridges and at roundabouts.

That’s a fantastic photo of the Eiffel Tower, Gardyloo.

Here’s a photo of a fairground musicmaker from the Museum of Mechanical Musical Instruments, still in perfect working order and loud.

KayF, thank you for your food photos. Every little pastry is a work of art. I don't think a person can ever take too many food photos in France, but some of my friends think I overdo it. Now I just show them a few of the best.

Traveler Nick, several of your pictures are as delicate as watercolors. And that's a striking photo with the blue and white umbrellas.

Michael, your market photos bring back so many memories. Do you find a market to go to every day when you're in France? Where is the hall with the high roof?

Milaedg, Roussillon has such warm colors. You can kind of guess where you are in France by the stone used in building. Sometimes I wish we traveled with a geologist.

Nikki, which one is you?

StCirq, are some of those views from your home?

Here's a photo of the massive pigeonnier at the Manoir d'Ango.

Coquelicot, I am not the redhead. (Have I ever mentioned to you that my house growing up backed up to a nursery school called “Les Coquelicots”?)

Nikki, weren't we young back then? I see Bouchee ris de veau! Please tell me where you took that photo.

Gardyloo, that photo is really a work of art. The soft light on those perfect-looking grapes. Wow.

We do not look for markets specifically on a daily basis. The market with the high roof is in Sens. Here's another picture:

Gardyloo, I love all your photos and my favorites are the Eiffel Tower and the grapes look like a still life painting.

Coquelicot Mar 16th, 2020 11:43 AM

Nikki, that's a pretty name for a nursery school, less so as an online alias. I chose my nom de Fodors too quickly. If I'd known I'd be using it umpteen years later, I'd have thought twice.

Nice catch of the biker eyeing the woman. And the little family sitting out to watch the traffic, stuffed after a full meal.

Here is a view of one of the Plus Beaux Villages, Sainte-Suzanne in the beautiful Mayenne.

That family is literally stuffed:
