maybe most people are so obsessed with not looking like an 'ugly tourist' that they blindly accept these silly rules that rob you of your experience as a tourist. it's refreshing to see someone who is willing to stand up to these people.
and we should ask ourselve what is going on this place that they don't want a photographic record of it?
1. we're tourists
2. we paid £12.50 to enter this boring place - and we paid £9 to drink a glass of wine over the dead bodies.
3. this place ain't any more spritual than an asda (or walmart for the americans - or pottery barn)
4. we have our cameras
5. we'll take our pics
6. we'll take our videos and post them on youtube
7. you can't do nothin' about it.

I wonder what happens in the Sistine Chapel if people ignore the "hushers" and no-photograph rules.
Do a couple of burly Swiss guards grab them by the scruff of the neck and seat of the pants and chuck them out?
