Photographer's shot of Place de L'Etoile from a height

Calling all budding/amateur/professional photographers who are in love with Paris... How best to get a shot of Arc de Triomphe with Place de LÉtoile around it and the ring of traffic around it? At night time... Wanting to get a shot of the traffic trail lights in a circle around the Place... is there a rooftop cafe/restaurant nearby that can give me that shot??

To clarify - I know I can go up the Arc and I plan to... But what I am looking for is a shot with the Arc in it and the ring of traffic around it...

All help will be greatly appreciated!!

We are two adults and a child of 10 years old traveling to Paris for the first time... We are both avid photographers and would like to make the most of our first trip to Paris...

Thanks,

Sakshi

You may need a helicopter to get the type of shot you're looking for.

There are no sky scrapers circling the Arc.

This will give you an idea of what is around it - the panorama was taken from the Arc. If you spin the compass you will see no tall buildings overlook the traffic circle so you can't really get the shot you want. Buy a postcard . . .

Drone or very very long selfie stick.

Thanks everyone... Makes sense that this might not be possible... But that is if I want to be higher than the Arc and capture it from above... What if I was just a few stories high... Would still get a shot of the traffic ring around the arc except for the part of the ring behind the arc... Or am I just imagining it?

I found what I was envisioning here -- I am talking about something like this

I think it's from the Eiffel Tower, actually. Do a google images search of eiffel tower views and you'll see this perspective of the Arc. I've got a night view of it myself from the pre-digital era.

I don't think so . . .

Rotate just a bit to the right and zoom in and there is the Arc -- wouldn't be able to get vibhav's shot form that perspective.

The faraway shot of the Arc de Triomphe was taken from the 3rd floor of the Eiffel Tower (confirmed by the author in the flickr comments)

Glad it's possible!

I am not sure I am correct about this, but I think that Paris has recently adopted a policy of banning all cars on some days each month in central Paris. Sundays? Every other Saturday? I don't know, and maybe it is not each month, or maybe I misunderstood.

However, were I interested in getting that shot of "the traffic tail lights in a circle around the Place", then I would make sure I wasn't planning to do it on a day when Paris is car-free.
