Phone numbers in France

Going to France next week. Confused about phone numbers. If, say I wanted to ring the following Paris number 0033(0)1xxxxxxxx, from home (Australia) I would dial 0011331xxxxxxxx, from Europe outside France it would be 00331xxxxxxxx, from within France 01xxxxxxxx and from within Paris 1xxxxxxxx. Have I got this right?

Almost.
Also for local calls within Paris (or anywhere in France) you have to dial the whole 10 digits 01xxxxxxxx.

Yes, once you are in France a phone call to any other number in France will be 10 digits.

Just to confuse but to be clear french numbers do not go 12345678 they go 12 34 56 78. Hence a french operator will actually say twelve thirty four etc.
