Has anyone seen the inside of the Grand Palace at Peterhof?

Sorry. My question was is it worth seeing the inside of the Grand Palace at Peterhof or is just seeing the grounds enough? We will be seeing Catherine's Palace also and someone told me that the insides are very much the same and it was a waste of time to see the inside of the Grand Palace.

I enjoyed seeing both the inside and outside of Peterhof, but from those who also saw Catherine's Palace, it is not to be missed. I am sorry that I did not get to see it.

On our cruise, there was an opportunity to do both if one had enough stamina. If possible, you should do both.

If you are on a cruise, its worth it to hire a private guide and driver in advance so you can move at a faster rate of speed. We saw a lot more than others on our Baltic cruise, because we had Russian Visa's and had arranged a guide. IMO one can never see enough palaces. If you consider that so much was bombed, and has been so beautifully restored, its well worth the visit. Just read an article about how they have amazing dark chocolate in Russia!

We will be on a cruise with only 2 days in St. Petersberg and that is why I was advised not to see the inside of the Grand Palace. They felt because of our time limitations we should skip it.
When I travel I don't like to skip anything and I wasn't sure if their advice was valid.

DON'T MISS IT.

Even if you are seeing Catherine's Palace, they are BOTH worth seeing.

Once you have seen these places, there is NO palace anywhere in the world that will EVER be able to impress you again.

We saw Peterhof, Catherine's Palace, Pavelovsk. The gardens at Peterhof are the attraction. The inside IMO was not worth the money or time. enjoy the gardens and skip the house. The inside at Catherine's and Pavelovsk are well worth seeing. We loved St. Petersburg and hope you enjoy it too.

Take a private tour instaed of group one and see all the important sights:
Hermitage, Peterhof park and Grand Palace, Catherine's palace, Savio-on-the-Spilled Blood, St.Isaak's cathedral. All of them are worth visiting!!!
