Perugia/Rome photos

My "Perugia and Rome by train and bus" trip report hasn't gotten much attention. Wah. It is a long diary so I'm only a little hurt. Below are a couple of shots (out of 550!) in case you want something shorter...

If you wonder why people keep returning to Italy, maybe this will give you a hint.

The Montepulciano View is great photographic artwork! (I understand that you copied your name into the picture - it would honor every professional photographer).

Nice photos--Love the golden sunlight!

I also enjoyed your trip report. I've noticed that trip reports get more attention when they are "serialized" with one day of the trip posted each day over a period of a week or two. Every time you post the next episode, you report pops to the top and more people read it.

Great photos...lovely to see the piazza in Gubbio...once when we were taking a groups of students through, that very spot was being used to shoot an Italian TV series...kids took more shots of that than all the art/museums/great architecture we saw the entire year they were there!

Thanks all!

traveller1959, someone at camera club asked how much I paid the farmer to plow my name in the field....:-d

ellenem: good advice about serializing-someone also suggested that the title sounded like help wanted

LJ-That is one special building. Gubbio was one of our favorite visits.

TD I'm working my way through your report and already pasted it into a word file to print out later. Will definitely have comments to add to keep it topped for a while. Great photos too!

Thanks annw.

Yes, your Montepulciano photo is similar looking to some of mine. Possibly the same time of year - Sepetember? Tuscany really is incredibly photogenic. Thanks for sharing!

That shot was taken March 2009. I daresay fields would have been in similar stages of planting.
