Personalizing a special day in Paris

I will be spending a week in France during mid March with my wife and 21 year-old nephew. This will be my nephew’s first trip abroad. My wife and I are relatively seasoned travelers, who have been to Paris several times. I am also a first-time poster to this wonderfully informative site. Here’s my travel need.

The week we will be in Paris is our 35th anniversary. One of our days there I would like to do something special to celebrate 35 great years and to give the nephew and us a memorable experience, something my wife and I probably would not think of or know about. One idea I had was to hire a really good guide to personalize a day’s activities, including lunch in a nice restaurant? Has anyone ever used the services of a guide or escort like Anthony Atkielski? I want to make this a special day in the city for all of us, so I’m open to any and all suggestions. Any input will be greatly appreciated.

Several of my friends have used a gentleman named Michael Osmund (?) to tour Paris and every single one of them have raved about the experience. I'd do a search here on his name and contact him. (You'll also find many positive expriences realted!)

ps -- to my friends who are wondering who I am, this is uhoh_busted -- I had to reregister with a new identity over the weekend so this seemed apt.

We used Michael's services for 3 long wonderful days this past summer. Even the 3 teens loved walking around all day with him. You decide where you want to go and he will get you there with lots of history and fun thrown in. He will cost you about $100 per day with tip and lunch. Well worth it. You can find him at [email protected]. He responded very quickly to my inquires.
