Personal guides in Paris

Any recommendations for personal guides in Paris? We are interested in seeing the usual sights and museums and would like interesting commentary, ease of entry and transportation from a guide. We have a 3 generation group of 6.

Thanks, Liz

If you email me at [email protected], I can put you in touch with an excellent guide with more than 22 years' experience.
Don't know what you mean about transportation, though - you're not wanting someone to drive you around Paris, are you? I think most guides use public transportation and walking.
There is also someone named Micael Osman who gets very good press on ths board. I'm sure someone will give you his information.

It's been several years but we used Michel Osman and while he didn't do it personally (had a friend of his do it), we were VERY pleased and it was a fabulous experience. I'm sure someone will provide a current way to contact him.

You might want to check out this thread froma week or so ago..47 responses to the same question.

And we love Michael and use him on every trip as do our friends, all of whom have been to Paris numerous times.

You can contact Michael Osman by e-mail at
[email protected]. If you put his name in the search here you will find many glowing recommendations. He does take awhile to answer his e-mail as others have mentioned, but when he does he takes the time to discuss your trip personally and answer any other Paris questions you may have. We will be doing a 3 generation group of 6 with him this March and are very much looking forward to our day with him.

Here is his website:
