Perros-Guirec or Ploumanac'h

I'm working on the itinerary for our trip to Normandy/Brittany between 19 May and 5 June. On Sat May 29th, we'll be leaving Dinan and driving to Cap Frehel and then Treguier before we go on to Perros-Guirec or Ploumanac'h for the night. I'm not sure where to stay. We're going to want to walk along at least part of the Sentier des Douaniers between the two--if we don't have time to walk the whole way, does anyone know which is the best stretch? Should that decide where we stay? Does anyone have recommendations for a nice hotel? The Hostellerie Feux des Iles (Perros-Guirec)has a wonderful website--anybody know anything about it? The Rough Guide suggests St-Guirec et de la Plage in Plounanac'h and also Les Rochers but they don't seem to have websites. Also, a question about the Sentier--does it go along cliff edges? (My husband has vertigo and may want to skip the walk, though my daughter and I would go.)

Carol,
Two years ago we completed our month-long stay in France in Perros-Guirec.
We stayed at Le Manoir du Sphinx (67, Chemin de la Messe) (02 96 23 25 42) Many rooms have incredible views!!
In fact...we cancelled a stay in Mont St Michel to stay an extra 2 days at this hotel.
When making reservations choose breadkfast or half-board....keep a few
meals 'open' to experience different restaurants in the area!!!

Bailey, thanks for your help. Did you walk the Sentier?

We agree with Bailey, we stayed at Le Sphinx and loved it. They were so gracious and we enjoyed their restaurant and the view is wonderful.

I've just heard from Le Manoir du Sphinx, and they don't have room for us. Does anyone have another recommendation?

Here's the web site for Bienvenue au Château, which lists a fair number of private homes (some quite large!) in Brittany that do B&B.
