You might try Catherine, 7 rue Castiglione, in the 1st Arr. - not too far north of rue Rivoli.

I'm only throwing this out because I got a perfume there that smells so wonderful and I'm almost out!!! Boo hoo. I actually didn't shop around a lot either..it just appealed to me and it was affordable. The place is called Eden Perfume. One scent..the one I love is called Bastille. I have not seen it anywhere in the states. The other I got was J'adore but shortly there after I saw it advertised at Macy's as a new scent. I was kind of disappointed because I wanted perfume that was "exclusive" to Paris, but on the other hand I love the scent so it's nice to know I can get it here when I run out of what I have. I can't remember where the shop was and I can't say anything about them as far as being cheaper or what ever..I just saw, smelled, liked, price was OK, so I bought. Catherine is recommended a lot on several boards.

Catherine is good.
So is Freddy, #3 rue Scribe. As you face the Opera Garnier, it's on the arm of rue Scribe that goes to the west (left). Both places will do the VAT paperwork for you (assuming you buy the required minimum amount) so that your refund is assured at the time of purchase. Freddy also has small gift items like brooches and such.

Michel Swiss used to be known as a good place, also, but I never hear "him" mentioned anymore; anyone know anything about that shop?

THANK YOU! ALL.
I'll look them up. And CREFLOORS, don't
worry if they sell your perfume here in the U.S it will not smell the same
it has to do with the french water.
and the ones sold here are made in the
U.S. I was told this once and it is true. Thanks.

The Michel Swiss location on rue de la Paix closed, as I discovered in January.
I think they are now at #1 rue Scribe.
