Pension Vaclava in Cesky Krumlov?

Just wondering if anyone has stayed at the Pension Vaclava in Cesky Krumlov? Also does anyone know what is going on August 10 in Cesky Krumlov? Rooms are tough to come by..

I stayed at hotel Golden Angel(Zlatky Angel?) and thought it was nice and was in the center square. I didn't see the place you mentioned.

The only address I have is on the Latran side, backs to the river and gardens and is near the brewery.

If Tina is still aboard, I wonder if I could get a report on Pension Vaclava - the rooms on the website look beautiful.

I stayed at both the Zlaty Andel and the Pension Vltava in CK. It could be spelling that is causing problems finding addresses, info on the place you are looking for--or I could be wrong and there are two pensions in CK with similar names. I know the Vltava has a website so try a google search for it. We stayed at the Zlaty Andel for 3 nights and had to move on the 4th because they were full. I just walked around town to find another hotel and that's how I came across Pension Vltava. We had to lug our bags up 2 and 1/2 floors and there was no tv let alone any CNN, but the place was quite charming in a very old-world sort of way. Only $27US, the least expensive hotel room I've stayed in in 20+ years. Very clean, had entry, shower and squecky clean bathroom, a bed, dresser and couch and table in the main room--a sort of junior suite. Furnishings were art deco ea antiques. Cute little breakfast room with a pleasant breakfast. Our room faced the semi-square area behind the Zlaty Andel which fronts on the main square so it's right in the middle of things. Had parking by the river just around the corner.

There are all kinds of places to stay there, the majority of which you won't find on the web or anywhere else. Both times I've been there I've walked into town & the first place I've asked has had rooms. I don't think you'll have any problems although I'm sure you'll be in the middle of lots of rafting & canoeing that time of year. Sorry I can't help w/the Pensione you are referring to.
