Pension Beatle Prague
Hello.
I am wondering if anyone has stayed at the Pension Beatle Prague. The address is Smilovskeho 10, Vinohrady, Prague 2, Czech Republic. If so, I'm wondering if anyone can comment on the cleanliness of the rooms and bathrooms, as well as the quality of the bathrooms/showers. Finally, can anyone comment on the safety of the area that this hotel is in? I realize that it will be outside of the city center, which isn't a big deal for me. My main concern is that it be safe. Thank you. |
Prague in general is a very safe place, violent crime is very rare, the pension is in vinohrady which is perceived as one of the classier areas of the city. The Beetle is in a residential are and there are some nice very good value restaurants in the area

Thank you so far. Any more thoughts on this area?

This area is quite safe but frankly it is not worth staying such a long way out of the centre.
Why don't you try Prague Room (www.pragueroom.com)? They are less expensive and their location is vastly better. |
Thank you for your reply. It seems like a contender. Have you/anyone else stayed there before and, if so, could you comment on cleanliness of rooms and bathrooms and safety of the area?

Joe Tro - we stayed in Vinhrady in Jan. It is a great part of Prague - only a short walk to all the main sites (though a goodish stroll to the castle!) We had 3 children with us and often walked into the main area and back twice or even three times a day (especially when we went to a concert in the evening) We never needed to catch the tram. The little local restaurants are terrific and much cheaper that in the main drag. Very safe walking around at all hours (our teeneagers walked back by themselves several times in the early evening) You'll love it!

Thanks; unfortunately I don't think the Prague trip is happening. But sometime in my life for sure!
