That is so gorgeous -- Most of the parks are beautiful at this time of year with the masses of azaleas, early bulbs, bluebells, etc but Richmond Park amazing

When I took my mom "home" for a visit many years ago, one of the places she most wanted to see was Richmond Park. It wasn't far from where she had lived so she remembered it, but during WWII it was pretty much "wrecked" (her word). A decoy town was set up in the park which she remembered as attracting German bombers. When she left England in 1946, the park was still a mess, but she'd seen recent photos (1990s) and wanted to revisit her memories. Although I don't remember what time of year we were there, we had a lovely day.

Thanks for the link, Bilboburgler. I'll show it to mum.

I hope she likes it. If she does she will make me smile.
