Peak District - One Night enroute to Lake District

Jump to last reply

We will be driving from the Melton Mowbray/Vale of Belvoir area to the Lake District for four days and with a day to spare enroute. We thought we should drop by either the Peak District or Yorkshire Downs for that day/night.

I have commenced to do some research and have looked back at threads covering the Peak District in recent years, but could not find many references to accomodation.

We are looking for a comfortable stay and large bed as our focus will be on walking in the area. Maybe we should stay in Buxton, but access to the area is probably more important than the town we stay in.

Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.
