If it takes three days to hike to the top of the mountain, then the peak day is the last day -- the one when you reach the peak.

Well, I can see the Peak from my window when it's not foggy, so sunny days are Peak days.

ok.
i know peak is the higher level ,but i cannot understand what "peak" has to do with train days? peak days???
specific days that the train runs or days that it is crowded?
if someone wants to give me a simple answer... id be grateful

Alex - could you explain your question more clearly - e.g. the context, the country? It seems you mean trains - in the UK there may be a difference (in service and in number of people travelling) between business days (Mon-Fri) and weekends - Mon-Fri would then be the peak days, but without more info I can't help further.

listen ,im talking about a note in a train schedule on the net which says:PEAK DAYS 2002 ,23-24-25 APRIL etc
whats all this about?
can you help?

alex Apr 12th, 2002 12:30 PM

this note PEAK DAYS comes from raileurope.com
Ruth Apr 12th, 2002 01:05 PM

No, sorry, raileurope.com is a huge site and I couldn't find what you meant. Peak days are generally days when a lot of travellers are expected and are therefore more expensive.

I was in a hotel the other day and there was a guy peaking into my wondow:O)

justa Apr 12th, 2002 05:51 PM

No, he was peeking into your room...unless, of course, you are talking about a certain part of his anatomy. In that case, then he was peaking!

whoops Apr 12th, 2002 05:58 PM

I was feeling a little peaked when I saw that guy peaking into my room.He was probably feeling kind of peaky too.
