Paywave
 

Help! Two days before my long awaited trip to Russia, Baltics, france and Dubai, the chip on my pre loaded Visa card died..But the pay wave/ pass element on the card still works..
Can any one tell me if Paywave is readily available in the above countries/regions.. in restaurants/ hotels etc...

I would contact Visa to find out - unless someone else has the same card and problem how would they know?

Also - can't Visa just overnight you a new card that is working?

It works at supermarkets and vending machines in France for amounts below 20 euros.

I have no idea -- but honestly can't imagine it would work in Russia or the Balkans

Thanks for your replies..I tried the visa website above but I couldn't get it translated to English..
BUT the card has just started to work again so I am holding my breath and hoping..
Couldn't get a new card for a couple of weeks..
