I've used Paypal for years -- no problems. I do have it linked to one of my back accounts, however.

I'm pretty sure that buying a money order with your credit card is the same as buying travelers' cheques with your credit card. Rather than a "purchase" it is considered a loan -- like using the credit card in an ATM-- and you will be charged interest on that purchase -- regardless of paying it off immediately.

Makes me very happy that I home exchange and never have to deal with stuff like this. I do use the Bank of America system to transfer money in the US. No idea if it would work abroad. No doubt, if it did, it would get more complicated.
