Paxos, Thassos or Zante - please help me decide

There seem to be some great special offers at short notice in the Greek Islands just now. Can anyone help me choose between these 3?
Which would you choose, and why?

Thankyou for any and all replies!

Hi,
As always, it depends what you like.
Paxos - v. quiet, small, lots of day trips there but limited accomodation, v. green and beautiful. Ideal for quiet, relaxing holiday, evvenings in tavernas rather than clubs. Good for walking.
Zante - depends where you go but in places, lots of nightlife etc. Laganas area for clubs, loads of bars etc.
Thassos - never heard bad reports but know little about it, apart from that it has good beaches, and to get there you fly to Kavala. Look at Thomas Cook Greek Islands book for more info.

As Carolina says, it very much depends on what exactly you're looking for. I've never been to Thassos, but visited Zakynthos (Zante) several times in my younger days and really loved it at the time. There are quieter resorts than Laganas and Argassi, but if you're booking a package through one of the major High Street travel agents, you're unlikely to end up anywhere really un-touristy. For more info have a look at www.zakynthos.net.gr/English/indexe.html
As my husband and I got older, we started to look for somewhere quieter and a bit more off the beaten track. We eventually found Paxos about 10 years ago and have been returning there ever since. It's definitely an island that's more suited to couples than young singles looking for decent nightlife and as it's a good two hour ferry ride from Corfu and has mainly shingle beaches, it's not really ideal for families with very young children either. There's a good website at http://www.nisoi-paxoi.com/
If Paxos seems to be what you're looking for, please feel free to email me for any more info you might want.

PS for informed comments about Thassos, try asking the question on the newsgroup alt.travel.greece, where I'm sure you'll find somebody that's been to the island.

Went to zante four years ago for the first time and subsequently returned the following two years, all in the month of May. It was an allocation on arrival holiday so had no idea which resort we would end up staying in. Our s/c accommodation was in the resort of Tsilivi. We found this to be a beautiful town with a lovely beach. There are plenty of places to eat and drink and the people were very friendly.
If you like history, this is not the place for you as there is no old town. It's a resort that's been built over the past few years but nonetheless has charm. It is a place which suits young and old alike and somewhere I'd definitely go back to again. Although this is mainly a family resort, there is still plenty to do for people of all ages. If you require the more hectic night-life, Laganas is a few miles down the coast. But, having said that, there are many late night bars and a few discos.
