Patrick..Laundromat question

On another thread you posted about a laundromat off the Rue Buci....is it the one on Rue de Grand Augustins..or somewhere else.

We will be on Rue Jacob for awhile and I need a laundromat...I am trying to pack light ..but men's underwear takes up SO MUCH room and I'm not into sink washings and dripping all over the floor!

Do you have an address or somewhere nearby that I could aclimate myself to?

Are you up to a Central Fl GTG if after all the ones who have said they were get back from their travels??? Probably Jan or feb?

MMM, this is tough as I'm in New York with no Paris map. But it is right where Rue Seine runs into Rue Buci. Right next door is a favorite little restaurant of mine, Perdu Temps (?). As mentioned in the other post, it is almost directly across the street from Paul.

Thank you Patrick,

I found the restaurant , 54 Rue de seine, so will check out the laudramat in a few weeks.

BTW the resto has a great website...I'm booking a table..the menu looks wonderful!

Yes, this little restaurant is a real gem, I think. Never miss eating there at least once during my stays in that neighborhood.

By the way, despite the comments on the other post, I found that laudromat very easy to use. The directions are kind of funny -- some are posted in broken English I think, but pretty easy. Like other laudromats, the only difficult part is making sure you are looking at the right number on your machine, especially the double stacked machines, and putting your money into the single wall box for the right corresponding number. It's pretty frustrating if you put your money in the box and see the empty machine next to yours start filling up.

We have stayed on Rue Jacob and used this laundromat a few times...it is really right around the corner. There is also a dry cleaners across the street that does a great job quickly. There is a bar kitty corner to the launromat that you can have a drink at and watch the world go by while you are doing your laundry... I also really enjoy the restaurant next door, they have a great 3 course dinner for a very resonable prive...enjoy

On one flight to Paris our luggage was soaked for some reason. Much of our clothing ended up getting damp/wet.
We took a few things to that dry cleaners and had them back the same day. They were very nice~
