Patrick

Hmmm. Someone was looking for a Patrick, but the post has been deleted, probably because his real last name was used.

I suspect it was me.

Anyway, yes I'm still here but not posting on the Europe boards so much any more as I only get to Europe once a year and for only about two weeks at a time. I have a new partner since Lee passed away in 2009. My new partner, Peter, works for a living -- so those 4 and 5 month retiree European trips are on hold for a while.

Some one posted on that thread about my being a young man on the CK/Budapest posts. Huh? I was already retired when I visited there.

Hey Patrick.
I saw that post but didn't read it as my name isn't the same. But I have been wondering.
I have been posting here for some time and attended many GTG in the US and even a couple in Europe (Portugal).
We are currently building a new house in Florida and am wondering if I read somewhere that you do reside in Florida.

Anyway. When the house is complete my thoughts were to host a GTG. In your opinion, would there be any interest in people from Southern Florida attending something if I decided to do so.

OF course, if you do not live in Florida "never mind"!

I am currently in New Jersey. I still have my primary residence in Naples, Florida, however, but spend little time there. I once hosted a Fodorite GTG in Naples and there were maybe 13 or so people there. It was great. I really think there would be more people if there were to be another one. Good luck. Where are you building your home?

That sounds good enough for me. Welcome back, Patrick.

Next trip -- we leave Sept. 1 for three nights in Venice, a week in an apartment overlooking the "Palio" Campo in Siena, a night north of Rome, and then 3 nights in Madrid. On freebie One World Business Class award -- for just 80,000 AA miles each.

Nice to hear from you and please report back after your visit. Over the years, I've used your advice on Italy and have never been disappointed!

Oh, Patrick, you will always be a young man, whatever your age!

ditto, Patrick, you will always be young . So will Seamus. So will I !!

Hi Patrick. I currently have a house in Jensen Beach but am building another one in the same community.
I just enjoyed my GTG's so much that I wouldn't mind having one at the house although it will not be finished until January.
We are not there as much as I would like but DH says he is slowing down a little and maybe we will spend a little more time there in 2013.

OK, now I'm curious. Did the person who posted the thread with my name come to this one? I have no idea who that was.
