Path from Fira to Oia? (Santorini)

Is there such a path that one can walk? Is the path in good condition? Approximately how long would it take for a casual stroll from one village to the other? Is it easy to get a cab back to Fira?

Thank you.

Yes, yes, 3 hours, yes.

We took the public bus between Fira and Oia. No problem.

Thank you both. (I hadn't thought of the "fear" question. In fact, I am uncomfortable with heights, though I've done a number of cliff walks in various places.)

When I walked from Fira to Oia at some point the walk was on the main road but there may now be a footpath the whole way. The bit on the main road didn't bother me, there was a shoulder. Most certainly took a taxi back because that was my limit in the sun.

No, it's still necessary to walk partway on the main road.

Hmmm I'm staying in Firostefani and made dinner reservations in Oia. I have also rented a car. How long does it take to drive there? I didn't realize it was so far to walk??? I may rethink my dinner reservations?

Firostefani is only about 7 miles from Oia. It takes around 3 hours walking or about 20 minutes to get there by car because the road is so narrow and curvy. Be careful of oncoming traffic around blind curves.
