As luck would have it, my French foreign exchange sister from Strasbourg is arriving to Illinois for a visit with my family. She will be here Mon., May 2nd, hope that isn't too late. I will be sure to ask her about purchasing pates de fruits and I will get back to you.

Hi, newyorkais-

Have you tried the pate de fruits (wish I had a circumflex on my keyboard) from Fauchon on Park? They are divine!

Ross,I am back with the info. from my foreign exchange sister who has lived in Strasbourg for many years. She recommends: Patisserie Bohn
Rue des Juifs
(at the end of the street
on the left)

Doux Pays de France
Rue du Dome
(a candy shop)
Hope this helps some - she wasn't sure of the exact street numbers.
