Patara, Turkey - St Nicholas Pension

Does anybody have any experience of this place please? They have their own website and it looks good value, but I can't find any other references to it anywhere.

Thanks.

Dear Xenos
The St Nicholas Pension is one of the small hotel in the small town. I am sure that you can not find other references in this forum because patara itself is very small town. There are some big hotels but they are outside of the town and very far from town.

Enjoy your staying in Turkey

Thanks Sinan, but I'm looking for my daughter and her husband, not myself and I can't find any other references to it anywhere on the web, not just on this forum - not by using google anyway.

Here some web pages
You can find soem information about PATARA and soem hotels

http://www.pataraviewpoint.com/

you can find a letter from this URL:

http://www.perseus.tufts.edu/~maria/TR2001/patara.html

Clip Patara is one of the big hotel:

http://www.clubpatara.com/

If you copy and past the url I wrote above you migh get some information about patara BUT NOT "St Nicholas Pension".

If you are loking for a hotel let me know I can give you some hotels name and their phone numbers that you can call them. But price of them higher then St Nicholas. (not much around $14 - 25 INC breakfast)

Hi Xenos,

I can't tell you any info about the pension but there is two nice places to stay. One place named Patara Prince Resort and the other one is Pirat Hotel.
According to their budget you can check the websites..

They've taken a flyer and booked the St Nicholas. They are only paying 7 euros each per night, so if they don't like it they can always go somewhere else and if they do like it, well they've got themselves a bargain!

I'm surprised that there hasn't been any more feedback, since Patara has been voted the best beach in the world in at least one survey and best in Europe in several others.

I'll post their opinion when they return at the end of June.

Regarding Patara--yes the beach is fantastic-many kilometers long without any interruptions. The ruins of Patara City are nearby and worth a visit.
You will pass some ruins on the way to the beach.
Most people stay in Kas or Kalkan and visit for the day.It is a easy bus or car ride.
Beware of mosquitos at night,if you decide to stay there. Some areas are quite wet and must be a breeding ground for them.
To me, it is the most beautiful beach in Turkey.
