I was surprised to see that 'Stohrer' wasn't mentioned!?<BR><BR>On the rue Montorgueil...one of the oldest and most gorgeous patisseries in Paris, with so much history!<BR><BR>It was opened in 1730 by the pastry maker of the father of Marie, when she asked if she could 'borrow' him from her father (King of Austria) before she got married to Louis XV... five years later he was still in Paris and opened this little shop, where he invented the Baba au Rhum...three different versions. Not to be missed are the strawberry, apricot, and apple tarts, and of course, the interior! The artist who painted the glass murals is the very same who did the award winning foyer of the Opera Garnier...<BR><BR>Enjoy!<BR>Wendy
