Just curious. How many past and present expatriates visit this board, ie have worked overseas.

If you're talking about expates from the US, that would be me! We've lived in Munich for the past 3 years.

Me too! France for the past year and a half.

Worked in London for a year.

Expat wannabe. Live overseas part of each year. Don't exactly "work overseas," but carry my business with me wherever I am.

My husband and I lived in Brussels for a year. He worked and I played. We would go back in a heartbeat!

Our family has lived in Munich for almost 4 years as expats. We love it!

I lived and worked in Germany for 7 years.

living near Luzern, Switzerland for the past 2 years, before that was living in <BR>Netherlands. <BR>

We're Americans that have been living in Israel for about year and a half.

Lived with my wife and 2 young daughters in Paris for 2 years. Not always glamorous, but a great experience.

Let's see... I've been an expat for a total of something like 30 years now... <BR>Brasil, Switzerland, Belgium and France. <BR>I presently live in Provence. <BR> <BR>PB

Lived, worked, and was married to an Italian, in Rome, back in the 70's. It was a wonderful experience, but I have never once regretted coming back home (to the U.S.) when I did.

I am a US ex-pat in London.

Lived in the UK for 5 years - wish I could again but not possible at the moment. But I get back 1 - 3 times most years.

I lived in France for 3-month and 7-month stints during college and graduate school. I have also lived/worked for 4 years in Asia-Pacific (Singapore, New Zealand, Indonesia, Australia) during the late 1980s and early 1990s.

Originally from N. Ireland, now living in the U.S. Love it here, except when it gets so damn hot! <BR> <BR>PB-not to be a snotty grammar police-type person, but "presently" means in the near future, not currently.

British - lived 3 years in Paris, not to mention large parts of childhood in Nigeria and Malawi and Dublin.
