Passport Renewal
 

I just applied to renew my passport. They received my application March 23. I sent it standard processing and I am wondering how long it has taken others to get their renewed passport book (not card) recently. I know the government says standard processing is usually 4-6 weeks but I also know that it can vary quite a lot. I want to book my return to Paris as soon as I know better when I will get my new passport. Anybody renew recently?

There have been numerous threads about this, which you can search for , but people seem to say about three weeks.

About one week for me.
But I don't need a passport to go to Paris - so maybe we are not from the same country.

My US passport took about two weeks, but I did it in the winter (just over a year ago) when I assume the passport office was less busy. They also sent my old passport back to me separately about a week later.

I should have stated that this is for a U.S. passport renewal as not all members here are American. Excuse me please for I am old.

A friend recently got his in 3 weeks, regular processing. I'm old, too, Larry. We may be slower but we know more, much to the surprise of the young.

We just got ours back a few weeks ago, it took two weeks from the day we mailed them in.

It arrived this week. Took 19 days from date mailed.

I got reprimanded for asking that question here! :) Glad you got your passport quickly; I did, too. All the rumors about how long it was going to take this year are evidently not true.
