I will pass on my info
The airlines don't anwere these questions
France 3 months must be left on your passport from the date you leave
Uk There is no preset limit EXCEPT when you have a visa, than you need 6 months on your passport for it to be valid
Asia 6 months
The rest of the world I do not know, but I do know France and UK
Very confusing when there is so much misinformation

The airline may not be a legal entity, but Good Luck trying to get into one of their planes if they deemed you don't have the right documents. The way I see it, if the NPIC Agent is saying check also with the airline, I probably would consider that advice a couple of notches up above Christina's logic (or lack of...)

Personally, I'm not worried EXCEPT if you get a nit picking agent who understands differently from all the excellent advice you have gotten from us--who know NOTHING for sure. Just seems so easy to be sure.

Do the words 'mountain' and 'molehill' mean anything to people?
France is the most visited country the world's ever seen. Britain's not far behind. Between them, they received around 150 million foreign visitors at their borders last year.
Now google variations on "I got turned away from a UK or French border because my passport had less than 3 months' validity"
Ignore references that say "I heard on a website I might get turned away" or "you ought to spend money you don't need to on renewing because I met someone who said she'd been told about someone who..." Just facts, ma'am. That's what we're looking for.
How many references does that leave? Yup: the ultimate in round numbers.
Could that possibly be telling you something?

We are all in agreement that the OP CLEARLY established early on that he/she has ALREADY CONSULTED THE GOVMT OFFICES and still confused. NOT one person have suggested to consult the airline solely and take their word. The advice is to involve the airline to ALSO to ensure their interpretation of the regs (YIKES....I can't believe this has to be spelled out......!!!).
