Everyone knows a real pashima costs a few hundreds but that's not important, if you like something buy it. I have a Mulberry bag I adore but it cost me alot which meant not going out much. My friend has a dozen fake designer bags and she can afford a real Birkin but she is so happy and chuckles over it all the time. She's happy, I'm happy that's all that counts(we both have no children so not to worry about the starving kids :) _

Head to the Rue Cherche Midi in the 6th. It is lined with shops selling scarves and there is a fabulouspurse shop, whose name I can't recall right now, There arealso resale shops with very high quality goods

The references to cashmina reminded me of shopping in Peru- the "baby alpaca" jackets were considered "maybe alpaca", even by the vendors
